And for the record, we’re talking about Medicare Part B premiums. Part B covers doctor visits and outpatient services. Medicare Part A covers inpatient hospital services and most people are not required to pay Part A premiums.
If you have not worked at least 40 quarters and paid Medicare taxes premiums for Part A will be required.
